We’d like to kick off the new year with a brand new release from Athens-based miss Olga Kouklaki. Not exactly a newcomer when it comes to craft punchy, sexy electronic music, she also has quite a resume: over the past 15 years she has had many releases on labels including Tigersushi, Pias and Get Physical, worked at F Communication in Paris, sang for Jori Hulkkonen, collaborated with american singer Nomi Ruiz (Hercules & Love Affair, Jessica6) and was even described by French music mag Les Inrockuptibles as “the Pythia of electronica”. Her new EP Charmer’s Pavilion contains 3 originals and 2 remixes coming courtesy of Seattle based TOKITA (Large Music) and our own Giom.
Rat Race and U Can’t Keep Me are pure Olga: straight-to-the-point catchy numbers with an infectious hook. You may also remember Charmer, who was part of our Suprematism Vol. 01 last year. Up-and-coming sensation TOKITA takes care of the bigger room remix with his take on U Can’t Keep Me, and Giom does his thing with Charmer.
